I also have no idea why there is so much white space on this page right now.

Working on it and clueless...

2nd Half Begins

Doug Davis kicked off baseball’s second half of the season at a little over 2:00 EST by breezing through the top of 1st in Milwaukee. 12 pitches, eight strikes, a 1-2-3 inning.

John Patterson is throwing for the Nationals today, and is having an odd season, record-wise. He’s pitched well: 15 starts, 89.2 IP, 73 H, 29 R, 29 ER, 33 BB, 80 K, 2.91 ERA. Very solid numbers, but the strange thing is that he only has five decisions. He’s 3-2, with 10 no-decisions. I don’t have the leaders in front of me in that particularly category, but that sounds like an over-abundance of NDs.

He’s not started the 2nd half in auspicious fashion, allowing two hits to the first two batters in the Brewers’ line-up: a double to Brady Clark and a single to Rickie Weeks.

(will be updating this on-and-off as time allows...)
