A Forgettable Opener
If the opening game is any indication how the Cleveland Indians’ season is going to go, then it’s going to be a long one. Not only did they have to watch the White Sox celebrate their championship again, they lost the game 10-4. Worse, they had sit around for three hours while a series of thunderstorms barreled their way through the Windy City. The game ended after one in the morning, central time. And worse still, their starter, 15-game winner C.C. Sabathia had to leave the game in the 3rd inning due to a strained abdominal muscle.
That’s what you call a tough opening night.
Glad to have baseball back though, and looking forward to today’s slate of games.
